1. What is Cobo Auth?
Cobo Auth is a multi-factor authentication and authorization tool that provides strong security protection for your account. Compared with traditional authentication tools, Cobo Auth is not only more secure, but also more convenient to use. It only needs to use FaceID or fingerprint recognition to complete the operation easily and conveniently.
2. How to provide protection? Why [more secure]?
Cobo Auth will generate a unique public and private key pair for each user. After the private key is generated, it is stored inside the device's security chip (never out of the security chip). When you perform an authorization operation, the private key is used to sign the message you authorize; the public key is used as a unique identity to verify the signature. We take your public key and provide a second layer of security for your account with a protection method based on public key authentication. Even if your account password is accidentally leaked, others cannot break into your account without using your Cobo Auth.
3. How to turn on Cobo Auth
3.1. Search "Cobo Auth" in the App store to download and install; (Apple App Store link)
3.2. Log in to Cobo Custody and enter the "Personal Account" page
3.3. Click the binding button of Cobo Auth to enter the binding page
3.4. Open Cobo Auth, click "+" in the upper right corner of the page after unlocking, select "Scan Code Binding", scan the QR code on the Custody binding page to bind.
3.5. After scanning the code successfully, your Cobo Auth will receive a binding confirmation message. After the confirmation, the binding of your Custody account and Cobo Auth will be completed.
4. How to use Cobo Auth
4.1. After Cobo Auth is successfully opened, all withdrawal transactions you initiate will receive an authorization message pushed by Cobo Auth after successful submission.
4.2. Open Cobo Auth, you will see a message waiting for your authorization in the message list
4.3. Click the message to be authorized to enter the authorization page, and the detailed information of the message will be displayed, including "withdrawal time", "withdrawal address", "withdrawal amount", etc., click the pass or reject button to complete the authorization operation through FaceID or fingerprint recognition .
